Imagine starting your workday in a company where new challenges are awaiting you every day. That’s exactly what Antonia has experienced since 2019 – first as an apprentice and now as a full-time industrial clerk in the export department at KLEMM. Her world revolves around export control – an area where everything comes together: purchasing, accounting, sales, and international business. “There’s always something new, you have to stay up to date, and that makes the job so exciting!” From handling sales enquiries to checking new customers and security screenings, there’s always something to do. Her day is a dynamic mix of tasks, from checking emails and coordinating with colleagues in other departments to liaising with suppliers.
“My sister and I used to love playing in our home office, pretending we were important businesspeople,” Antonia recalls. Even today, she still enjoys her profession. “You get insights into every area and learn how the whole company operates – from orders and production to sales and everything in between.”
A particularly memorable moment for Antonia was visiting suppliers and gaining a deeper understanding of the processes involved. “That was really exciting, and it showed me just how diverse the work at KLEMM is,” she says enthusiastically.
Outside of work, Antonia has been part of a carnival dance group for 17 years. “We do lifts – a mix of show dance and cheerleading.
I used to be at the top of the pyramids, but now I lift others up. I’ve always aimed high.” This sense of teamwork can be transferred to her job as well: “It’s great to achieve something together.”
The family-like atmosphere at KLEMM is also very important to her. “It’s great to work in a company where you feel comfortable,” she says. Antonia is particularly fascinated by the machines and their technology: “During my apprenticeship, my colleagues showed me the individual components – it’s important to understand what you’re selling.”
What makes her job special is the opportunity to constantly learn and take on responsibility. “The variety of tasks and continuous collaboration with different departments make my work multifaceted. It’s fascinating to keep discovering new aspects of the company,” she says.
