BAUMA 2025 | Innovative KLEMM Drilling Technology on Show

At this year's BAUMA, KLEMM Bohrtechnik was presenting its latest drilling rig technology together with the BAUER Maschinen Group - Extremely compact drilling rigs with variable kinematics, high-performance anchor drilling rigs in various performance classes; and energy-efficient geothermal drilling rigs with high drilling performance. Particularly exciting this year are our two new developments – the geothermal drilling rig KR 717-3GW and the KR 806-4E with electro-hydraulic drive.

KR 806-4GM | Universal and Anchor Drilling Rig
The KR 806-4GM is a high-performance drilling rig for overburden drilling which includes an on-board magazine for double-head drilling. Based on the KR 806-3GS, the modified machine kinematics enable the use of a heavy mast with a double rod magazine. With a total machine weight of approx. 21.9 t (without payload), the MAG 6.1 magazine can carry a maximum load of 1100 kg. The hydraulic system includes two load-sensing main pumps, each with 240 l/min and a pressure level of up to 350 bar. Thanks to the patented power-sharing system, the power output automatically adjusts to the drilling situation, resulting in fuel savings of up to 25%. A touchscreen is available to adjust machine parameters, and the standard radio remote control allows safe operation of the drilling rig whilst having an optimal view of the work area.

KR 806-4E | Electro-hydraulic Universal and Anchor Drilling Rig
This drilling rig is a further development of our field-proven electro-hydraulic drilling rig – the KR 806-3E. It has more engine power (180 kW), greater battery capacity (160 kWh) and a simplified electrical system. The rig has the same lifting capacity as its diesel-hydraulic KR 806-4GM counterpart, which means that a MAG 6.1 magazine can be easily attached. The KR 806-4E is quiet, environmentally friendly and is just as powerful as conventional diesel-powered machines. Initial construction site testing has shown that it requires almost three times less energy than the diesel-powered model.

KR 805-3GW | Geothermal Drilling Rig
The KR 805-3GW is used for geothermal loop drilling for near surface geothermal energy extraction. It can drill to depths of well over 300 m using the double-head drilling method. A loading crane, a rod manipulator and a hydraulic salvage and pulling device are integrated onto the drilling rig. With our Energy-Efficient Power Package (EEP) and the patented Power-Sharing system, the rig automatically ensures optimal energy efficiency.

KR 717-3GW | Geothermal Drilling Rig
With an engine output of 250 kW, this newly developed geothermal drilling rig is designed for drilling depths of over 400 m. The new drill mast provides a tractive force of 220 kN and facilitates rod lengths of up to 6 m. The functionality of the rig is extended through a newly developed 3-fold clamping and breaking device (10") with sliding and recovery function (400 mm stroke, 176 kN tensile force). It also has a new, patented, lateral sliding double head drilling system with newly designed KH 47 and KH 17 rotary heads. The drilling rig can be equipped with a mud pump which can be lowered hydraulically and there is an optional winch which has a 300 m cable capacity.

KD 4724 | Hydraulic Drifter
With a maximum torque of 47 kNm and a piston weight of 24 kg, the newly developed KD 4724 is the most powerful KLEMM hydraulic drifter to date. By changing the stroke of the piston and the pressure in the percussion unit, the impact energy of the hydraulic drifter can be adjusted to suit the job in hand.

Thank you very much to the many visitors for your trust and the inspiring and exciting conversations!
