With the completion of its new plant in the Hüppcherhammer industrial park, KLEMM Bohrtechnik has reached an important milestone. The new production hall – 184 meters long and 64 meters wide – is the largest industrial building in the city of Olpe and enables a significant expansion of production capacities. The new facility represents an investment of around 30 million euros and forms the basis for the gradual relocation of production from the existing site in Wintersohle. At the same time, extensive restructuring measures are planned at the current plant, including the expansion of the service and repair departments.
The new site operates entirely without fossil fuels, using geothermal and air-source heat pumps as well as a 750 kWp photovoltaic system. With this expansion, the workforce is expected to grow from currently around 290 to approximately 400 employees in the coming years.
A management change also took place: in early October, Dr. Carl Hagemeyer handed over the position of Technical Managing Director to Manuel Ochibowski, who will now lead the company together with Roy Rathner and Georg Stahl.
