Geothermal Energy for Sustainable Power: BAUER Resources Relies on Drilling Technology from KLEMM

Innovative Geothermal Project for a Rehabilitation Clinic in Bayreuth
The new rehabilitation clinic of Deutsche Rentenversicherung Nordbayern in Bayreuth embodies sustainability and energy efficiency. Located in the Seulbitz district, directly opposite the Lohengrin thermal baths, a state-of-the-art geothermal loop system has been constructed to significantly contribute to the clinic's renewable energy supply.

The implementation of this complex project was entrusted to BAUER Resources GmbH, who achieved impressive results in a very short time: Three drilling teams installed six geothermal loop fields with a total of 128 boreholes reaching depths of up to 80 meters. Eight kilometers of geothermal loop were laid.

KLEMM Drilling Rigs in Action
KLEMM Bohrtechnik reliable technology was used for the drilling operations.  The powerful KLEMM goethermal drilling rigs enabled the work to be carried out with precision and efficiency - essential factors for meeting the tight project schedule.

Sustainability with Exemplary Character
The new clinic, set to accommodate 240 inpatients and 60 day patients  from 2027 onwards, will serve as a model for modern and sustainable construction far beyond the region in which it is situated. The strong partnership between BAUER Resources and KLEMM Bohrtechnik demonstrates how innovative technology and expertise can bring ambitious projects to fruition.
